Named-Entity Recognition

Named-Entity Recognition (NER) is an AI technique in natural language processing (NLP) that identifies and classifies key information in text, such as names of people, organizations, locations, dates, or other specific entities.

Example: In the sentence “Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2002”, NER would identify “Elon Musk” as a person, “SpaceX” as an organization, and “2002” as a date.

NER is widely used in applications like search engines, chatbots, and information extraction.
